Step six of “Winston” 0
This is the completed portrait. I continued to shade in the shadows of the hair on his neck. I thought about continuing further down his neck and perhaps a little more of his body, but I chose to let the fur fade into the white of the paper. I think sometime in the future I will have to try a portrait of him in watercolor or charcoal to loosen me up a little. I sometimes get too caught up in the detail when I work in graphite, but overall I am fairly pleased with how this drawing turned out. I finished with a coat of UV resistant matte final fixative. Onto the next project…
